Recent announcements:

  • I have added the final exam scores (both raw and curved) to Moodle. I have also added your scores from In Class work (dropped lowest 2) and HW from MP (dropped lowest 6 problems = 30 points). Moodle is not calculating the course totals correctly. I can't make it replace a low exam score with the final, for example. So moodle isn't showing the correct course totals, but each individual item (like each exam score) is correct. You can calculate your final course grade (after you replace low exam score, if curved final is higher): course grade = .15*exam1 + .15*exam2 + .15*exam3 + .15*HW + .15*inClass + .25*finalCurved I did curve a little after that. So your calculated number should be at or slightly below the letter grade you received on gaelxpress.
  • Exam grades are on moodle. Please double check that your exam grade matches what is on moodle. Please ignore the overall course grade on moodle. I'm just not sure what algorithm it uses when some grades (like the Final exam and HW) are missing.
  • We will continue to use Vol II of the same textbook from last semester. Physics for Scientists and Engineers by Randall Knight. 4th ed. Vol 2.
